a snapshot of aberdeen, idaho

My best friend growing up, ArLynn, asked me to take a picture of Aberdeen while I was there.  So one day, I took my camera and went shooting.  I couldn't just take one picture!  I ended up taking 100.  Here, for your perusal, is a slideshow of one day in Aberdeen.

THIS IS AWESOME!!! Thank you so much for the "picture". There are many, many memories there for us!!
Some things change so much, and others are still the same.

Hey!,We could go back and start a renewed franchise at the "Frosty Stand".. ... Remember the upside down banana splits???

Or how about the little popcorn shrimp baskets. And the ice cream cones were like 5, 10, 15, 25, & 35 cents. The 35 center was HUGE!!
Too big. If we got a 15 center, we though we had the "TIGER" by the tail!!

AND.... I have to comment on the playground equipment....
Remember doing the crossovers on the giant strides and little Derlin Flying off into space??? Or making sure you dont fall inside the Ocean Wave..... or you get smashed between the metal ocean wave bar and the pole... literally...

no grass or bark in the equipment play area, just concrete and black top.. and who was it who broke his arm going down the fire escape slide from the 3rd floor of the old elementarty building (you could only do it if you were in 5th grade)

my oh my... it's a wonder we survived....really it is!!!
